With her deeply sensual, gothic paranormal romance, Marie-Claude Borque earned enough reader votes to be named the winner of American Title V, a contest for unpublished writers sponsored by Dorchester and Romantic Times.
ANCIENT WHISPERS is based on the Longfellow poem “Evangeline” and features lovers tragically parted during the Huguenot persecution in France. After being separated from his fiancee, Gabriel binds himself to a sorceress who makes him immortal and promises to help him find his lost love. But when the woman he’s been looking for is discovered living in present-day Rhode Island, Gabriel finds the sorceress has no intention of letting him go.
This is the first of a planned series about other men who have been bound by sorceress and have formed a loose society of immortals dabbling in alchemy, magic, and other mystical rites.
ANCIENT WHISPERS is currently scheduled for release in February 2010 in Dorchester’s Love Spell line.
